Whose stocked about GOW 2?

I know I am, release date is 11/7.

I'll still be on con leave from surgery, so bet your asses I'll be at Gamestop as soon as they open for my copy. :dr

Darrell thanks for reminding me about that!! I almost forgot that it was coming out this november. The first one was great. It took me forever to figure out how to kill the last boss.

Pretty darn excited myself, probably be at the store that day and then online until I beat it. Kind of like Halo 3, except I like the online game play much better on GOW. :tu

Darrell, how do you feel about some of the changes? Chainsaw wars and images and such?

I agree, I am just wondering how the new maps will play on the online competitions. I didn't like a few of the new maps they added for GOWI and the new screen shots look too busy or something to me. :rolleyes:

Never was a big GoW fan, but I will prolly pick it up. Resitance 2 looks good also.

I plan on being at the midnight released at my local Best Buy to pick this up. There are SOOO many games coming out in this last quarter.. I'm broke!

Loved the original, can't wait for the sequel. Graphics look awesome and I'm loving the "rail" scenes. Not sure why people complained about this in the reviews.

I just ordered Fable and Fallout-I am hoping those will keep me busy until Christmas and GoW2 will be on my Christmas list.

I was thrilled when the first one came out, beat it on insane and never played it again. It was an awesome game, but I couldn't get into the multiplayer. I preferred R6 Vegas 2 as far as technical shooters went. I may still try it out though

Ditto.. the multiplayer was pretty bad imo, not to mention the people that played it.

R6V kept me busy for many many many hours online though.


Personally with so many other top tier titles hitting the shelves, this one is amidst a lengthy list, and definitely not on the top of it. If they canned another 4 and a half hour Campaign into the disc, I'll be seriously disappointed.

I have the same problem. It's hard for me to get into new games because I'm hopelessly addicted to COD4. :D

Thank you, I thought that I was the only person who was not as impressed with this game as everybody else. A buddy of mine is getting GoW2 and is letting me borrow it when he is done. We will see then

Actually, I was never much a fan either. The only reason it ever got played is cause I had friends who were always on. I didn't enjoy it very much, too repetitive.

i think im going to rent it today and just tear it up all weekend... i know for the time a normal rental is, i could beat it.. or i hope! Knowing me and my buddy jared beat the first one as soon as it came out during a snow storm back in HighSchool! haha
we thought it would keep us busy... nope... 3-4 hours go by...

So far the game play seems to be pretty good and the graphics are absolutely nuts. Can't wait to finish the game and get online :tu

Nice.. I forgot that GOW2 was released today.. I just got a new job offer (Been unemployed since August).. I may have to celebrate by picking myself up a copy.. :D

I guess I shouldn't mention there was a "version" flying around WEEKS ago. Need a "tweaked" 360 for it though.

I think the new online play is absolutely crap. You can't pick the type of game or the level or anything. Unless you are in a private match the connections can suck, they pick hosts after the fact and if you are playing people from other countries you can be screwed. Horde is very fun and gets crazy around 30 or so. I just wish the online game play kept up with the graphics. :mad:

I am about 1 hour into the game. I really like it. Graphics are very good.

So know that you guys have been playing it for a while what do you think?
I really liked Gears 1, but finished the campaign in one day and I really never played it online much. I think if I were to get it, it would only be for the campaign simply because I really don't see myself playing this online over CoD4. Do you think it would be worth getting for that alone?

I didn't care for GOW 1 but I am digging part 2. I am working on the solo part first before I do any MP.

I go the game it came out and hope its better than gers one multiplayer. Hord mode is cool. With some buds I got up to level 9 on hardcore.

I guess I should bring one of my controllers so we can run some co-op at your HERF tomorrow?

i heard it will be a trilogy. i finished it last week. i play online every once in a while. the lag sucks horribly and i feel like i get screwed so much because of it. i'm on a 20/20 line so it shouldn't be that way but it is.

yes, the part where macrus's dad starts flipping out. wonder if has anything to do with the imulsion and how it could just leak out everywhere now.

we shall see, but i heard they are already working on part 3 and it could be next year if they rush it.

i dunno either, i kept wondering why the hell they didn't just frag her ass. i would have.

i had the funniest kill the other day. i killed a guy by tagging him with a smoke grenade. i couldn't stop laughing and couldn't believe it did just enough damage to knock him down.

walk up to him and press the melee button. if it's an explosive one it kills them but you better run like hell. otherwise it just does minor damage and knocks them down.

Im posting this after Ive already bought and have been playing GOW2 and it totally ROCKS!! cant wait to play Horde online either!

I beat the game on normal and enjoyed it. If you play Horde make sure you get 4 other friends in their with you, it gets pretty hard. I got up to level 10 on insane with some friends and couldn't get any further, but I had to bail and go do some stuff. It was ridiculous. I jumped in on a game and these guys were up to level 41 on normal:hn. We managed to move up to 43, but the thing that sucks is your power weapons like brute and torque bow don't even seem to do much damage compared to your regular default guns.

Fun game.

I played through 16 today by myself, just being bored I guess. Went through 50 on Normal with some buddies when it first came out. You really need to have 5 guys who know what they are doing to make it easy. When you get past about 30, the power weapons become useless, because it takes 4-5 shots with each for a kill. :tu
