Well it finally arrived on Friday. I know folks are going to say I should have gone bigger or should have gotten a cooler. This is the biggest humi I could afford after LOTS of research and reviews. As far as the cooler goes lets just say the wife was against a cooler sitting around that housed cigars in our little rental and she was all for a nice looking wood humi (I love you babe). It has a few different names Havana Foot Locker is what mine is called and it goes by the name Medici also. Deciding on this perticular model was tough after reading all the reviews that it is very deep and not good for fetching daily smoke out of it. They're right, it is deep but I have weighed everything and decided I will work around its depth and put it to good use.

I went to seasoning it immediately Friday

With it came a free ashtray (it replaces my $.97 walmart ashtray)

Some smokes I bought arrived also, 10 Padilla Obsidians( cigar.com daily deal) and some 5 Vegas Classics (also dailydeal but received earlier in the week). Its great cigar.com ships with a humipack because my 50 count couldn't hold them.

Earlier in the week I got my Palio and some beads from Heartfelt, and now with the humi it might be my best week ever (except my wedding day of course, love you babe)

The beads will replace the foam in the humidifiers that came with the humi as well as the foam in my 50 count pucks.

I think it should be ready to take in some new residents prob today or tomorrow. Thank you for reading or if your not a reader thank for looking at the pics.

Good haul there. I have the same one. Did it come with trays? MIne had two trays and I would use those for the daily smokes and the deep part for storage. There are probably smokes at the bottom of mine that haven't seen the light of day in two years.:tu

Duh, now I see the trays..

Looks like you're ready to rock Bill! Nice set-up with the tray on top and plenty of room for your fav boxes.................................:tu

BTW do you only use your Palio when smoking naked, or is it good for when your clothes are on as well?

I have the same humi bought from Cigarmony over 2 years ago and it has been perfect since I got it. Mine maintains humidity for months (with regular opening) with no water needed. I keep my beads in the bottom and a couple of pucks on the lid. I use an oust fan. Nice pics.

I have one of the rectangles in the bottom and one attached to the lid, and somemore in a plastic container at the bottom, I just loaded it with most of the sticks from my 50 count and I just laughed at how much room is still left...this is going to be fun to fill:dr

Very nice choice. I have always liked the look of those and the room for boxes and singles. I based my homemade humidor design on these with the addition of a few extra trays that I also made. Are considering using something for air circulation? Do others that also have this type feel that a fan is necessary?

I'm not going to have a fan just yet based on its current stock. most likely I will add a fan down the road if the RH is inconsistent between the bottom and the top

I don't use a fan. I have beads on the bottom (about 1lb), and some beads on each tray. That seems to work for me. Mine's pretty much full and it stays around 63%.

Thanks again for all the kind words.........

I have to say that the beads are great, absolutely spot on 65% for three straight days. I guess I was skeptical about how well they would work but I can say, as everyone who has already said, these things are worth it.

and I love my Palio

:tpd:

No fan. Beads on trays. Small amount in the bottom. 65% beads holds right around 62..:tu
