In looking at pics of "asylum" humidors (under accessories), I noticed that alot store their sticks in celo in their humidors....I always remove the celo, with the thought that the smokes will age better, marry flavors thus enhancing the overall smoke, etc. etc.....What's your preference?

However it came, that's how it stays.
I also think you have the honor of starting the very first serious cello on/off thread on CS. Congrats! :tu

I keep the the way I get them.
:tpd: Except for Sharks which have the nasty habit of growing copius amounts of mold if left in the celo.

Isn't this a sticky yet!? :bh
:D
Seriously though, I keep them the way they come. I age alot of my boxes and the cello keeps the different cigars from marrying and preserves the oils longer.

I always leave mine the way the came as well. I don't really know why I do this. I once asked this question on CS and didn't get a reason that stuck with me.

For long-term storage it's a good idea because it slows the air exchange that much more which, in turn, causes them age better.

I usually leave them in the cello, but sometimes I do clip the excess that folds under the cigar so the cello is closer to flush with the foot of the cigar.

I went though this when i started. Overall I found it is much better to leave it on. Keeps the cigar intact when playing tetris and still allows the smokes to age. Plus its a good way to tel when the cello goes yellow

The first thing I do is take cello off. Just think the cello looks cheap and cheesey.:2

I keep them the way they come. I used to take it off because I thought they looked better in the humi 'naked'.

I keep them as they came unless they tend to get moldy (i.e. Sharks).

In the beginning I took the cello off of everything. I didn't like the looks of it, but it seems to have grown on me. That and I've had a couple wrappers get damaged (usually by the foot). Always use protection (for your cigars:tu)

i keep them in cello. it protects them and still allows the to age. it's also a good way to see how they are aging over time.
