has anybody seen these before? i'm in the market for a new humi and dont want to drop the cash on a cab. I would also prefer to keep it somewhere in main part of my basement/bedroom so I dont want the eyesore of a cooler in there. wondering if anybody had any experiences with these?

Those are cool looking although I don't like the cowboy stuff on the second one. One of the reviews says it is lined with tin. If you Google "rustic cooler" a lot of them come up for sale on different sites.

would the tin lining cause a problem for it?

i'm shopping around now for the best price...

let me rephrase that, would the tin lining be a problem if i put a small lining of cedar in it?

I would be worried that it wouldn't seal, and if it did seal well I would worry the tin would rust in the humid environment.

They are very cool looking if they will work.

I saw one on a site that had a standard plastic Igloo inside.

Pretty cool...especially if you can find an igloo interior!

Here is the link with the Igloo interior: http://tsocowboycountrycoolers.com/index.htm

You can custom design but the shipping may be a lot depending on where you live.

Now that's cool.

I just have two coleman coolers, one 110 qt and one 55 qt. Light enough to move around even loaded up with sticks. Stiil, I'd love to have one of the cowboy coolers - probably could keep it in the living room even. :tu

yea I can see they are just building custom 'skins' for igloo's they also cost a fair amount. I was hoping to find something cheap and simple for box storage for the time being.

thanks for the link though.

I've got one very similar to this that I picked up at Target on clearance.

LINK (http://www.target.com/Teak-Ice-Chest/dp/B0002Y0V80/sr=1-19/qid=1237381080/ref=sr_1_19/178-0844127-6492666?ie=UTF8&frombrowse=0&index=target&field-browse=1038618&rh=k:cooler&page=1)

I had never thought about using it for cigars, but it does hold the temps pretty good even mid-summer.

My M-i-L bought one for pool-side a few years ago. It even has a spigot in the back.

Now she's not there, and it's not getting filled with beer all the time - so it became a pool-toy storage box.

I'll have to see about 'acquiring' it soon.... :cool2:
