The wife left early this morning for New York for 5 days.
5 days of just the guys, me and the dog.

I spent all day in the shop making dust. Before working I went to the store to grab some "quick" food, poppers, cheese sticks, French bread pizzas and anything else that requires little effort. I was looking at the meat and the butcher asked what I was looking for. I told him "I don't know, it's just me and the dog for a few days". He said he had a couple Angus steaks that were a little too thin and hadn't put them out because of it. He said he would sell me both for the price of one. I marinated them when I got home this morning and placed them in the fridge. About 90 minutes before I cooked them I took them out and let them adjust to room temperature.

Her big concern before she left was that the dog and I would not eat right while she was gone.

Well tonight I miss her a little, but the dog and I sure did eat well :chr

For desert a nice Arturo Fuente Anejo - Reserva No. 55 Extra Viejo
and some Chivas Regal 12 Year Blend Scotch.

Oh yea a nice piece of raw hide for Buster.

You seem to be taking it hard. You had better smoke a second stick to make sure you can cope.

So wait a minute- the rawhide and Chivas and stogie are for you, and the Molson and the steak dinner are for the dog?:D

Glad the wife is doing well enough to venture to the Big Apple!

I wouldn't go that far, but she went any ways :(.

She is better though, still no clue whats wrong. She has an appointment with a specialist at the end of the month and this trip was planned way in advance. The oldest daughter wanted to go for her 21st birthday, so off they went at 4am

Chas

The dog is starting to figure out shes not coming home tonight, hes wandering around looking for her and woofing under his breath.
