Just got 5 CAO Italia Tubos and a few of them had a few specs of mold on the sticks. So, do I leave them with cap on or off in the humi? Cap off would be my guess.

Wipe the Mold off and I think you are good to go.
I'm sure others will chime in that have more experience with this.

Good Luck

Mold has been cleared, it's the cap on or off now I'm unsure of now.

Whichever will help you sleep better at night. Caps on will help if your humidity isn't sold and has a tendency to rise or fall with the conditions.

I'd take them out of the tube completely if it was me.

If they were moldy while in the tubes I'd leave them out!

Clean them off, make sure the cedar isn't moldy and put them back in the tube and back in the humi. It's worked fine that way for me. :2
