View Full Version : Plume?- I THINK NOT

I just purchased the Tampa Sweetheart Cigar Co. Anejo sampler last week, and the cigars came in yesterday. I have never had a Anejo 77 "Shark" before, or even seen one. The 77 is a AMAZING looking cigar, I was just really impressed.
As I normally do, I decided to do some research on the cigar, and get people's reviews. During my searching I found a picture posted on Flickr that just made me sad. Just the fact that so many people get confused with plume and mold is somewhat understandable, but would you ever think that this picture was plume?-

And of course the comment from the poster-
"Arturo Fuente Anejo Shark 77 (Ploom everywhere!)"

Yeah, that's not good! When his Shark grows so much "plume" it gets up and walks away, I wonder if he'll realize the difference.
What do you think the chances are that some non caring arrogant B&M owner told him that was actually plume?

When the photo's come from a company, or owner of a company, that specializes in custom wheels for crazy cars, I bet he only cared about the "price" and "aging" of the cigars he purchased.

Look at it this way, if he gets strep throat he can just lick his cigars and he'll be right as rain in a couple days.

Definitely not plume and the Anejo wrappers are susceptible to mold. They should have known better.

Poor guy seems all excited about his "aged" Anejo full of whatever. First thing someone should tell him is plume won't develop in 5 months!

How old is that and what vitola? Looks more like dust from the pic, but it's hard to tell without the reflection of light off of the plume.
