I think Robert meant the Ashton/Pepin San Cristobal...

At least that's how I read it. It's full bodied, but not as harsh as many of the Pepin products, and one of my favorite NCs

Check out the Oliva Serie V Maduro that will be released this week. It's a very full bodied cigar that I'm sure full bodied fans will enjoy. The normal Serie V will be a full bodied cigar, yet very smooth.

Others to check out:
El Cobre
Don Pepin Cuban Classic
Opus X
La Flor Double Ligero

I'm enjoying the 601's now as a full bodied smoke. The maduro if probably my favorite maddy.

El Cobre by Oliva. Only available in 3 shops in The Netherlands and online at discountcigars.

The torpedo has a nice build up, the robusto is a straight in your face barfighter and the toro is really a bull. There are reviews on my blog www.cigarguide.org I still have to review the churchill, but from what i've heard that is the weakest one of the series.

Most folks are saying the new Man O" War is harsh. It's strong but not harsh to me. I love em!

For me - and in order:
*Don Pepin Garcia Blue label
*Oliva V Double Toro (man these are good right now)
*Camacho 11/18 Corojo (Nat and Maduro)
*Opus X (Depending on the batch)

...that's all I have to say about that...

I second this suggestion. It's not really my type of cigar, but it is definitely a good smoke for those that like full bodied sticks.

Holy 3 1/2 year thread resurrection! :lr

Being that it is in "All Cigar Duscussion", I assume suggestions of either would be fine.

Esencia, Baby. ;)

Bear was kind enough to introduce me to these via a minibomb he included with some sticks I bought from him. I don't know how much age it had on it it but it was really good. He mentioned Empire cigars in Raleigh carries them if anybody local is looking for them.

Just another small example of how this whole cigar thing is about the journey more than the destination.

Highly recommend the Antano dark corojos, the are the bomb.

For full bodied? Different strokes for different folks, I love the Royal Coronas, but find them to be about the mildest of the handmade Bolivars.

I asked about full bodied CCs a long time ago and thought the RyJ Cazzadore and some Vegas Robianas were there. Since then, though, I don't find the strength of any cigar has much effect on me unless I haven't eaten much or if I'm already tired. Now I really only care about the flavor and construction. You can always smoke it faster and inhale a little if you really want to get a nicotine buzz.
I'll have to try an Esencia. I think it's about the only one on any of these lists I haven't.

Can't remember when Empire had the Esencia event, but I believe that was in the fall of 2010, so roughly a year and a half on it I believe. Could be wrong in my memory and have picked it up much more recently.

Guess that means I have to pick up a box and start experimenting. Now if I could just find some cash my beloved hasn't earmarked for something else!

Ive always found them on the mild side of full but maybe thats just me though if you want a real harsh full body smoke get yourself a aged 04 siglo 4 so unrefined IMO its enough to put you off smoking.
