Just bought a house closed yesterday. 5.0% fixed. Just doing my part to get this economy going.

Sat in my new back yard and had a Gurkha Centurian and a ruination IPA by stone.

It was quite a nice cristening

Congrats. Smart move, great time to buy.

I concur. It is a wonderful time to purchase a home if you have job security and the necessary funds.

Congrats Legend! :tu

I'm also looking to buy a house in the near future. I'm planning to wait out another 6-9 months as I'm hoping that the current prices are the true value of the house (and all of the price drops are just making up for the inflation during the housing boom), and that buying from here on out will be the best decision.

The centurian is a CI exclusive available online only. Too bad. Imagine how much better they would be from a B&M :-P

Same area. Just a mile and a half from my current rental. But the house I bought made in 05 the house I'm renting made in 85. New payment less than 1300(after insurance property tax etc). Old rent 1600.

So I'm adding an asset and lowering my costs.
