More similar info here.

I found nothing on snopes so I submitted it, but I have my doubts.

On the other hand, if you have a Tivo(sp?) everything you watch is recorded. I decided not to get one for that reason. In fact, I was once asked to be a Nielsen household, but turned that down as well. You never know what will be done with that info in the future.

Sorry 'bout the TJ!

Sounds like total BS to me.

Saw this on another forum, it originates from a site called prisonplanet, a complete wackjob conspiracy site, and it's completely BS. Another guy opened his and found nothing, it's all faked. The tech that google talks about may be real, but there are no camera/mics in these.

Though if you beleive it, I had some prime snake oil I'd like to offer you ;)

Even if there were cameras/mics in there, there are 2 problems

1) there is no way for the box to transmit
2) there is no place for the box to record

So, what point would there be?!
